Certificate of Applied Science in Residential and Commercial Electricity is a degree certificate program designed to meet the standards and skill training necessary to be a licensed residential and commercial electrician in West Virginia. MILESTONE COURSE: These courses are the keys to graduation and certification. Courses should be taken in the recommended semesters to stay on time for completion FIELD/CLINICAL COURSE: CAREER PLANNING: Residential or Commercial Electrician Average wage: $15.74 - $26.15/hour CAPSTONE COURSE: ELECTIVES: CONCURRENT COURSES: CERTIFICATION: PRACTICUM and SEMINAR 2+2 with WVU Parkersburg CAREER LADDER: Students should average 15 credit hours per semester, or 30 per year, to graduate on time. TOTAL DEGREE CREDITS: 30 2019-2020

The Electricity and Instrumentation Technician Certificate in Applied Science Degree is a natural progression of the Residential and Commercial Electricity program as it introduces industrial electrical skills, along with instrumentation and process control. With those 30 credit hours you could have a broader skill set to further your career

The Residential and Commercial Electricity Certificate is a degree certificate program designed to meet the
standards and skill training necessary to be a licensed residential and commercial electrician in West Virginia.

Graduation Requirements:

• Complete the minimum number of credit hours required for the degree.
• Complete the general education curricula for the degree.
• Complete at least 8 credit hours at WVU Parkersburg.
• Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
• Complete and file the graduation application, in OLSIS, within the stated deadlines
