The Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology completion degree is expected to be completed in one calendar year if the student is studying on a full-time basis.

Qualified applicants must be board-certifiec surgical technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and a graduate from CAAHEP (Commission on Accrediation of Allied Health Education Programs) or ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) accredited program.

The student will receive 32 hours of credit for being a board-certified surgical technologist.  Requirements for an AAS are 60 credit hours.

All general education courses are re- or co-requisites of ST 250 and/or ST 255.

*Students enrolled in ST 255 Leadership will be required to be an active member of the Associatgion of Surgical Technology (AST).  The current fee for membershio is $80.  Price is subject to change by the AST.
