The Associate of Applied Science in Electrial Technology combines the skill sets of our Residential and Commercial Electricity program with those of the Electricity and Instrumentation program.  This degree prepares gradueste for positions as techinicians that install, service, repair, and maintain electrical equiupment in today's modern inductrial, commercial and/or manufacturing facilities.  Students will also develop skills for residential electrical work that could lead to a career as a licensed electrician.

The Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Technology prepares graduates for positions as technicians that install, service, repair, and maintain equipment in today’s modern industrial, commercial and/or manufacturing facilities. Courses include preventive maintenance, system design, and troubleshooting concepts that integrate practical application and knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Graduation Requirements:

  • Complete the minimum number of credit hours required for the degree.
  • Complete the general education curricula for the degree.
  • Complete at least 15 semester hours credit at WVU Parkersburg.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
  • Complete and file the graduation application, in OLSIS, within the stated deadlines
